On May 5th Sterling earned his Wolf Badge along with 3 other boys in his den. This was fun for me as their den leader to see them reach this milestone!
On May 10th we celebrated Mothers day. I enjoyed gifts and breakfast in bed.

I like the "All about Mom" sheets they filled out at church. They wrote down things that I liked or did well. Here are some of their responses.
"She likes to": . . . snuggle, plant, and sleep.
"Best thing she cooks" . . .:lasagna, sweet and sour chicken, and cookies.
"Her favorite thing to do to relax is" :. . .fold clothes, snuggle, and read a book.
"We like to_____ together": pray, shop, and cross stitch.
They were a lot of fun to read. I am so grateful to be a mom! I am grateful to my mother for all that she has taught me and done for me! She is a wonderful example to my kids as well. I am also grateful for my mother in law who raised such a great son, and is a sweet grandma to my kids.
On May 14th Sheri had her school musical. "The day the Crayons Quit." As the blue crayon she practiced her part a lot. She had lots of enthusiasm and character. Unfortunately, on the night of the concert she wasn't feeling her best. She still did a great job and was ADORABLE!

This month we have really enjoyed watching our gardens grow, seeing new flowers blooming, starting bees in the back yard, finding lots of critters, lighting our fire pit, and relaxing in the hammock.

On May 21 Eve was able to drop off a donation that she had collected at school for Cozy Cat Cottage, a cat shelter/adoption location. I am proud of her for finding something that she really cares about and following through on it. After bringing it, the kids loved playing with all the cats there.

On May 28th Sterling participated in his 3rd grade wax museum program. Each of the kids chooses a historical figure, learns about them, prepares an autobiographical speech about them, and then dresses up as that person. They then stand still like a wax figure until you step on their "button" and then give the speech. It was really a neat and informative experience. Sterling was a cute Abraham Lincoln.

On May 27th we celebrated Sheri's birthday with cinnamon rolls and presents. Then a few days later she had friends over to slip and slide and have cake.
We surely love Sheri! She is sweet, smart, friendly, brave, a bit sassy (in a good way, as in she can stand up for herself), and happy! She is a good friend to all her siblings and a great help to her parents! She is also learning many things and developing her talents each day! We are grateful for Sheri!
Well, that about wraps up our month! On to June!
