April 2017

The beginning of this month was the end or our Washington D.C. trip and getting settled back in at home.
The first notable event this month was Eve's birthday.  On her actual day we had special meals for her and gave her a few small gifts.  We also had strawberry shortcake in the evening.  We really celebrated though on the following Saturday.  In the morning Eve had a trio ensemble performance for OMEA where they were judged.  Eve learned a lot about preparing early.  They scored in the second highest ranking.  Eve felt that she could have worked through more bugs if she had been more prepared.  This was excellent experience for her.  It also helped her to experience and manage performance nervousness.

After that I took Eve shopping for clothes and to lunch. Then all us girls got haircuts, and Eve got a manicure and Sheri got a pedicure.  Then we went to get ice cream.  It was a fun day dedicated to enjoying a girls' day out.

The next week we got to go to the Zoo for the first time in a long time.

We celebrated Easter by having an egg hunt with the Whitneys and the Thomas family, and we dyed eggs.  We also enjoyed our baby bunnies.

Even the cats enjoyed a Easter treat.

Easter Sunday was beautiful!

We also enjoyed Easter Dinner with the Whitneys.

A few of our does had litters after the rest.  Here are some of them.

Later in the month Sterling had a fall and hit his face pretty hard.  This is the progression each day of how it looked.

Day 2
Day 3

Day 4
Day 5
Sterling was a good sport about it all.  He got lots of attention which he didn't mind.  After the color left a few weeks later he still has had a bump in his cheek which will take a while to go away.

Aside from Sterling's misfortune it has been a great month.  I love Spring!

Other things I've been up to: I accompanied an Easter musical number, and a baptism on the piano; I prepared and presented a "Blessings of Obtaining Knowledge" talk for a weekly RS Meeting; I continued to help Sterling work on Cub Scout achievements; I prepared and taught Sharing time in Primary;  I attended Institute; I took Eve to Dr/PT appointments; We started planting the garden; I took the Cats to the vet; I donated blood' and drove kids to dance, piano, soccer, volleyball, and church activities.

HAPPY SPRING!
