In addition to school, piano, flute, and dance, soccer season started up. This is the first year that Christian has participated. I will admit that soccer season means a lot of extra driving and time on Saturdays.
It is worth it to me when I see the kids enjoying the physical activity!

Near the beginning of the month the kids decided to have a bake sale. They also had a few rabbits, sunflowers, books, and toys for sale. They didn't sell as much as they hoped to, but it is good for them to learn that money "doesn't grow on trees." :) Plus we got some good pictures.
One day the kids had a great time building a tower from cups. Check it out!
We continued to enjoy the fruits and beauty of the garden.

The biggest highlight of our month was Christian's birthday. I had a good time putting together his Star Wars themed party.
We started our Jedi Training with a little freeze dance for learning body control, and light saber balloon balancing. Here I am putting on their robes.

Then we played "Pin the Eye on BB-8" and light saber fights.
Then we moved into the back yard and had an obstacle course over the bog, through the lava, up the space ship ladder, and around the yard to the final battle against Darth Vader and Boba Fett.
Then we let them hit the Darth Vader Pinata.
We then enjoyed some Star Wars snacks, . . .
. . .opened presents . . .
. . . and had cake.
I have to give a special thanks to my kids who helped me decorate, prepare the food, create the obstacle courses, and get the house ready. Eve was my photographer. I couldn't have done it without them! I also loved that they dressed up for the theme. Eve was Princess Leia, Sterling was Boba Fett, and Sheri was Rey. Sterling's friend ,Brady was Darth Vader. Even Matt wore a C-3PO mask for a bit!
We are so happy to have Christian in our family! He is so much fun and we all love to snuggle and play with him. He is my little buddy each day and brings me so much joy!
So that about sums up our month's activities. We did also have some physical therapy visits for Eve, book club and exercise group for me, and flute lessons for Eve. It was a great month! I am so grateful for this fun time of life that I am enjoying with my family!
