I feel so grateful that we could spend the holidays in Colorado with our families. It helped soothe the sting of leaving our life in Ohio. Just looking at all these wonderful moments of being reunited with our family reminds me of how blessed we are!
We were able to participate in the annual Murray Family Talent show. This was so fun! I loved seeing talents from the youngest to the oldest! We got to enjoy singing, piano, guitar, juggling, and other fun talents.
I was also grateful that Eve and I were able to prepare a duet that she played in church (Ohio) and also at the talent show. As I look back, I feel it was a tender mercy that we were able to do this with everything else going on . . . including preparing for Christmas away from home. She really brings a special spirit when she plays. Sorry, the video was too large to include.
Here are more photos . . . of our time together on Christmas Eve.
We celebrated Christmas at my parent's home in the morning and Jennifer's house in the evening.
Later Christmas night we went to Mark and Lisa Sabey's house and then to Estes to be with Matt's parents. We spent the next few days in Estes.
Matt flew back to California while we spent the rest of school break in Colorado. We were scheduled to close on our CA home on January 4, 2019.
The kids had fun playing games with Grandpa and Grandma.
Grandma took us to see the new Mary Poppins movie. It was fun to see Mary Poppins in the hall afterward.
Who can jump the highest . . .
And go the lowest?
While I pre-signed home closing papers in Denver my in-laws and kids waited patiently. These two found candy in the hall to keep them happy.
My in-laws took us to dinner and to see the Denver Zoo to see the lights and animals. It was very cold, but a very cool experience. We are surely blessed to have such generous and fun grandparents.
Then we spent a few more nights in Denver with my parents and siblings. This is how we sleep at my Dad's house. :)
I got to snag a day at the temple with my sister. The best!
While here, we got to celebrate Augustine's first birthday! What fun! He is so sweet and special! We are so happy for Catherine and Aaron who are very devoted parents.
We spent a snowy New Year's Eve at Jen and Scott's house. We always feel so welcome and spoiled by all our family in Colorado!
It has been a year full of abundance! We reflect back on our fun times, our treasured relationships, and our many blessings that God has given to us. As we look back we gain greater courage to face the next chapter in our lives with faith and hope.
