Monday, Annie and I took the younger kids to the spray park. Afterwards we spent the day relaxing at Christina's house.
Tuesday we met at our friend's pool. (Thank you Rachel and Kara!)
Tuesday afternoon we went to a birthday party at another spray park. It was great to see Brenda and her cute kids again!
Wednesday, we went to the reservoir with our friends from the Highlands Ward and Joe.
It was so nice for me to sit and soak up the sun, catch up with my girlfriends, and watch my kids enjoy the sweet, simple pleasures of summer!
Thursday, I went with my sisters and Mom to do a little lingerie shopping for the bride to be. Sorry, no pictures :) The kids were babysat by the Johnsons. They still talk about them to this day. They had such a great time there and can't wait to visit them again! After shopping we went to lunch. What fun!
Friday, we prepped most of the day for Catherine's bridal shower which we gave her that evening. I enjoyed dipping pretzels in chocolate - a new skill I have learned from wonderful Kristen. It think they turned out very well. Here are a few pics of the evening.
My little sister is all grown up and getting married!
Saturday, we went to Jennifer's rec. center and swam for a few hours and then we headed down to see Christina. I was happy to watch the kids so that Chris and Christina could have a nice night out for his birthday! The kids enjoyed that we were able to sleep over and didn't want to leave the next morning, but . . .
Sunday we went to Littleton to hear Matt's cousin (Matt) speak in church as he was about to leave on his mission to Taiwan, I believe. It was fun to surprise Matt's family. They didn't know we were in town. We loved seeing Great Grandpa and Grandma Sabey, and all the uncles, aunts, and cousins. Apparently I forgot to take pictures. Double drat!
Sunday night we had a smaller family get together (you have to squeeze in as much family time as possible.)
I'm not sure what Sterling is doing here, but I couldn't resist using this photo. Look how cute Mary looks!
Well, that wraps up July - On to August -
