March 2026
Matthew continues in his role as Executive Director of Operations. He is overseeing the acquisition and transfer of equipment that processes nuts for his California plant. Here are some of the videos he shared of his plants' processing this month.
March was a continuation of many of the activities from February.
Track meets
Band
UIL Concert & Sightreading Competitions
Both bands got superior ratings.
Both Sheri and Christian's bands had 3 pieces for the concert portion. Here is one from each.
Then in the middle of March we went down to San Antonio for spring break. Matt worked most days at his Selma facility while I spent time looking at potential homes with our realtor, Alyssa. (She was wonderful about showing us so many homes, being available during her kids' spring break and sharing a wealth of knowledge about the community and church in the area. I felt very blessed to work with her! We did end up putting an offer in on a home which was ultimately accepted and set to close May 1st.)
So while Matt and I did our projects the kids went to Six Flags and Sea World.
One day we went shopping and found Sheri a prom dress and Christian some Pokémon cards.
Matt and I went to dinner with the Fackrells one evening.
And then we finished the week by going down to Corpus Christy to visit Jonah and Ellie and enjoy beach time. Sheri and Christian went a day early and loved the extra cousin time on the coast until we got there. We all enjoyed the sunshine!
There were fisherman catching baby sharks off the pier. It was quite fun to watch!
Here is Sheri's spring break IG collage
...as well as some fun videos.
When we got back to Amarillo it was time to get the house listed. We had professional photos taken, a few last minute repairs, and of course weeding, mowing, and cleaning. . .always cleaning!
Then of course I made cookies for the guests, and offered lots of prayers!
We had an open house the last Saturday in March and a few showings as well.
Meanwhile, in Provo, Eve has been working on school projects, mentoring younger students, and she had photos taken for graduation announcements. It won't be long until she is all done!
I will share many more beautiful photos Eve got in another post.
She continues to enjoy time with her friends and cousins. She went to the opera to see her cousin, Carson, went rock climbing with her cousins, Luke, Camille, and Sabey, and often goes on nature hikes to identify birds with her birding app.'
Finally, We always enjoy hearing from our missionary (we finally got a missionary plaque for him)!
He continues to work hard and has enjoyed training Elder Santos who has a strong testimony, a good attitude, is a hard worker, and is easy going.
Davi was baptized!
He is happy. (Many Brazilians don't smile much for pictures.)
It is a beautiful area!
He enjoys teaching!
And spending time with other missionaries...even when they are all exhausted.
His mission is definitely an adventure.
Well, It has been a whirlwind month! We have so much to be grateful for; this beautiful earth, happy memory making moments, answers to prayers and all the loving relationships we enjoy!
