Annie and Mary's Visit Part 1

We were so lucky to have my sister Annie, and her cute little girl, Mary come to visit. We really enjoyed seeing how much little Mary had grown. Annie of course was beautiful as always and a very devoted mother. They arrived on Tuesday. We enjoyed catching up on the drive home from the airport and also admiring little Mary.

Mary is so excited to see what Eve is showing her!

I was so excited to bring them to the community garden that I participate in. This is a local farm where community members can buy a "share" and then benefit each week when they pick up fresh (organic and local) produce the farm produces. Community members are also encouraged to volunteer 3 hours a month. I share my "share" with a friend. If you want to see how beautiful it is you can check out their website at www.lavistacsa.org I love all the natural beauty. The kids play on the play area and help me pick when "you pick" items are available.

This year we have cicaidas all around. They make loud sounds and sort of hiss. Eve is a little scared of them because they have red eyes. Apparently this year the ones that come out ever 13 or 14 years had surfaced.

Tuesday evening Eve had her Acro pictures. She was very excited to show Aunt Annie her costume!

On Wednesday we went to the St Louis Zoo.

We stopped first at fist aid because Mary got sunblock in her eye, poor thing. They flushed her eye and then we went on to the carosel because it was right there. The Carosel is always a hit.

Unfortunately, Annie, Eve and Mary were on the other side of the carosel and I missed getting their pics.

Then we headed over to the children's zoo and saw bears, penguins and other things on our way. The children's zoo has goats that guests can pet.

Photo Opportunity - You might notice the necklace, hippo, and lemur (Eve, Ster, and Sheri respectively). They got these with birthday money.

Then we went to a play area where the zoo has a pretend farm, playground equipment, and spray that comes from the ground.

Ster likes to karate chop the fountains of water.

Then we headed to the indoor area where the kids got to see and pet animals close up.

Wednesday evening Eve had her Ballet, Jazz, and Tap pictures.

Thursday we went back to the zoo because we didn't get to see everything we wanted to see. "On this day we got to see the insectarium, the sting(less)rays (Ariel, Sebastion, and Flounder were there too), gorillas, tigers, and a train ride." - Thanks Annie for letting me use your words here.

Mary is so cute. She found a broom just her size and loved sweeping while we waited for the train. She sure hated to stop when we had to move forward!

We could have stayed all day, there was so much to see. But we have been before and all the little ones needed naps and were tired out. We had a nice evening at home. Annie was a great help to me. She would always pitch in when I needed a hand. It was a great help to me and allowed us to get so much done and talk with each other - one of the highlights for me!
